White Plains Hospital's 'Drive for a Cure' Raises Money for Cancer Program

White Plains Hospital’s second annual Drive for a Cure was held on Tuesday, September 29th at the Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, NY. Over 200 people enjoyed a day of golf and tennis, followed by cocktails and a dinner reception, silent auction and awards presentation. The outing raised over $125,000 for the Cancer Program at White Plains Hospital.

White Plains Hospital’s Cancer Program has received many accolades, including most recently, the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. White Plains Hospital is one of a select group of only 23 U.S. health care facilities with accredited cancer programs to receive this national honor. Other current and prior recognitions include: accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC); Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and Lung Cancer Screening Center Designation from the American College of Radiology (ACR); Women’s Choice Awards as one of America’s Best Breast Centers and one of America’s Best Hospitals for Cancer Care; and CEO Cancer Gold Standard Accreditation.
