Woman's Club to Host Candidates at Community Forum

Candidates for local election as well as current legislators will be discussing currect issues and answering questions

In anticipation of the upcoming elections on November 3, 2015, the Woman’s Club is sponsoring its annual Fall Community Forum on October 7, 2015. White Plains Common Council members up for re-election Dennis Krolian, Nadine Hunt-Robinson and Milagros Leucano will be in attendance as well as Republican challenger Annemarie Encarnacao. Benjamin Boykin, county legislator who is also running for re-election, will attend as well.

This year, in addition to the incumbents running for re-election, the other members of the White Plains Common Council are expected to be in attendance as well. The Council members felt this would be a good opportunity to meet with their constituents and address areas of concern in the community.

As in years past, the Forum moderator will present a series of questions to the candidates and solicit their views on various topics. Topics such as growth of the community, sanitation, disabled and elderly services, parking around White Plains Hospital and the French American school will be addressed. Questions from the floor will be collected at the door and will be presented to the candidates for discussion.
