World Religions, Personal Beliefs Highlighted at Children's RE Open House, Sun., Sept. 27

The Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation at White Plains (‘CUUC’) will hold an Open House for its K through 12 Religious Education program on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 9:30 AM.

Parents and their families are invited to discover religious education classes that encourage children and youth to explore their sense of wonder and develop their personal ethics.

Children learn the roots of world religions, openly consider life’s questions in an accepting community, gain wisdom in self-discovery, and are empowered to make a difference in the world.

What Children and Youth Experience

On Sunday, classes for different age groups include experiential activities with art, music, games, role play, and dramatic expression, through which children:

• Learn about many world religions & sources of wisdom
• Explore personal beliefs and values
• Experience social justice work and the power of making a difference
• Find out about Unitarian Universalist Principles and history
• Build relationships in an accepting community

As the director of Lifespan Religious Education and Faith Development, Perry is dedicated to excellence in liberal religious education and has been active in environmental protection, racial justice and community organizing. He supports the life journey of each child, youth and adult.
