• American Red Cross warns of emergency blood shortage as supply drops 25% in June (cnycentral.com) — Whitesboro residents can help ease a critical blood shortage at a Red Cross drive on July 24 from noon to 5 p.m. at Dunham Public Library on Main Street. The Red Cross says supplies, especially platelets and types O positive and B negative, have dropped sharply, and is urging healthy donors across nearby towns to schedule appointments this month.
