Bedford Avenue Smoke Condition Stalls L Train Service, MTA Says
The smoke condition in the Wiliamsburg station stopped L train service into Manhattan during rush hour Friday morning, officials said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — L train service into Manhattan came to a halt Friday morning as a firefighters dealt with a smoke condition at Bedford Avenue, officials said.
The smoke was first spotted in the station underneath Bedford Avenue and North Seventh Street around 9 a.m., according to an MTA tweet.
Service stopped for ten minutes so that the FDNY could investigate the situation, said the MTA.
