Huge Bedford Avenue Fire Burns In Newly Built Complex, FDNY Says
A fire broke out on the sixth floor of a new building on Bedford Avenue just after 8:30 a.m., according to FDNY.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in a new apartment building on Bedford Avenue Friday, according to FDNY alerts.
The fire broke out on the sixth floor of the 801 Bedford Avenue building around 8:30 a.m., on the border of Bed-Stuy and Williamsburg between Park and Myrtle avenues. It quickly went to a second alarm fire about 10 minutes later, according to FDNY alerts.
The fire was under control by about 9:30 a.m., according to the alerts.

An FDNY spokesman was not immediately available for more details.
The building, records show, is a recently-built six-story apartment building. Permits were filed to build the complex in 2017 and it was scheduled to be completed this year.
