The Japanese design store opened its first outpost in Brooklyn on Wednesday.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn’s first MUJI opened in Williamsburg this week.

The Japanese design store that specializes in minimalist everything (clothes, luggage, furniture, decor and more) opened its massive 7,300-square-foot retail space at 200 Wythe Ave. on Sept. 8, the company announced.

“As the neighborhood is home to young families and collectives of innovators, artists and design-conscious individuals, this area perfectly encapsulates the types of communities that continue inspire our brand” said Toru Tsunoda, President of MUJI USA.
