WATCH: Man Urinates On Williamsburg Church, Topples Statues
The man pushed two angel statues to the ground after relieving himself on the steps of the Metropolitan Avenue church, police said.
WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN -- Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who urinated on and then toppled over two statues in front of a church early Sunday morning. The Hate Crimes Task Force has been called in to investigate the criminal mischief.
The man, captured in surveillance video, relieves himself just before 4 a.m. on the steps of Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church before pushing over the two angel statues. Both statues crashed to the ground, breaking from the fall.
The man was last seen fleeing from the Metropolitan Avenue church toward Bedford Avenue, police said. He is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old, six feet tall with straight, brown hair and was last seen wearing a dark colored pea coat, beige slacks and Vann brand sneakers.
