WATCH: NYPD Take On Superhero Alter-Egos For Brooklyn Toy Drive
"Texas Batman" will join the North Brooklyn patrolmen for a sleigh ride of superheroes.
BROOKLYN, NY — Brooklynites may notice a sleigh full of their favorite superheroes making its way through the borough this weekend. They may even recognize some of the all-star team — but not just from the movies.
Under the masks will be officers from NYPD's Patrol Borough Brooklyn North, who serve communities throughout the northern half of the borough. The patrolmen will be dressing as their superhero alter-egos for the third annual sleigh ride toy give-away on Saturday, stopping at 10 spots throughout the day to give out toys to children.
And if their video campaigns on Facebook are any indication, the day is bound to be full of surprises, including a Batman who will join the squad all the way from Texas:

Other superhero favorites will include Officer Daniel Woods who will dress as Ironman and gave viewers a sneak peak of him wrapping toys in "Tony Stark's toy shop" earlier this week, Officer Darryl Calhoun dressed as Black Panther and even a life-size Gru.
The superhero group also handed out toys at a local hospital this week.
The sleigh ride will start at Cooper Community Center in Williamsburg at 11 a.m. and make its way around the borough before ending at the United Methodist Church on Knickerbocker Avenue around 4:40 p.m. A full list of the stops can be found on the borough's Facebook page.
