Common Core in our schools? Poor standards lead to a poor education.

I am a little curious as to why ANYBODY still thinks Common Core is a good set of standards for our kids ?  Seriously... anybody?
      It has been completely trashed by some of the same respected educators that once championed it, like Carol Burris here on Long Island, Dianne Ravitch,  Sandra Stotsky and James Milgram nationally.
       If so many high powered educators are abandoning Common Core, why do our Regents and State Ed, department  still think it is any good ??
