Chow rounds up some comments from a discussion on the new restaurant Piccoli, and the risotto gets high marks.
"I was truly skeptical that risotto could be delivered and not be a soggy mushy mess," says an impressed jinx, while guspup tried a basic Parmigiano-Reggiano risotto with similar success: "It was very good, far better than I'd expect from such a place."
Executive chef Andres Rodas is also co-owner of Fragole, a Carroll Gardens Italian bistro. Unlike Fragole, Piccoli is only offering delivery and take-out now, though there's rumor of outdoor seating for the warmer weather. Check their Facebook page for updates and specials.
