Saugerties Animal Shelter asks community to help close $2 million gap for new building (hudsonvalleyone.com) — Woodstock residents are being asked to help close a $2 million funding gap so the Saugerties Animal Shelter—longtime provider of animal control services to the town—can finish its new, more humane facility. The shelter is halfway funded, aiming for a January 2027 opening, and is courting Woodstock donors and volunteers through events at Colony Woodstock and online giving options.
