• Jefferson Valley Mall robbery investigation centered in Pennsylvania (midhudsonnews.com) — An armed robbery in the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot in Yorktown left two people with non-life-threatening injuries, and local police are now coordinating with Pennsylvania authorities who recovered the suspect’s vehicle. Officers from multiple Westchester and Putnam agencies searched the Route 6 area Friday, and Yorktown residents are urged to report any suspicious information to Yorktown police at 914-962-4141.

• Emanuel A. Romero (halstonmedia.com) — Yorktown Heights is mourning Manuel Alfonse “Manny” Romero, a longtime resident, Army veteran, and retired Westchester County probation supervisor who was deeply involved at St. Patrick’s Church. Remembered for his faith, mentoring spirit, love of the arts, and devotion to family, his relatives invite friends to honor his memory and, in lieu of flowers, support Calvary Hospital.
