• Victim identified in fatal three-vehicle collision in Cortlandt (halstonmedia.com) — A 28-year-old Yorktown Heights resident was killed early Saturday in a three-vehicle crash on Bear Mountain Parkway in nearby Cortlandt, according to state police. Investigators say the victim’s Subaru crossed the double yellow line, triggering a head-on collision and a secondary impact that proved fatal. Two other drivers from New Windsor and Peekskill suffered non-life-threatening injuries as the investigation continues.

Sheriff Brian Hess honored deputies, staff, and partner agencies, including the Yorktown Police Department, for their dedication and behind-the-scenes family support over the past year.
