18-Year-Old Accused Of Driving With Suspended License

Police also said his car had illegally bright headlights.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 18-year-old Shenorock resident was accused of driving without a license and having illegally bright headlights.

The Yorktown Police Department said the man, whose name is not being released due to eligibility for youthful offender status, was seen by officers shortly before 10 p.m. Monday on Crompond Road near Old Yorktown Road in a car that had improper dazzling lights.

He was stopped, and following an investigation at the scene, it was discovered his privilege to drive in New York had been suspended for failure to answer a summons.

He was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and improper dazzling lights, a traffic infraction.

The 18-year-old was arrested, processed and released on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to answer the charges Feb. 22 in the Yorktown Justice Court.
