18 YO Garrison Man Arrested For Driving With Suspended License

Police said he also had an inadequate muffler and obstructed view in his vehicle.

YORKTOWN, NY — An 18-year-old man from Garrison was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The man, whose name was withheld due to eligibility for youthful offender status, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and obstructed view and inadequate muffler, traffic infractions.

A Yorktown Police officer was on patrol around 7:45 p.m. Nov. 6 on Lexington Avenue when a red Honda was observed that had an inadequate muffler and an obstructed view.

After a traffic stop, the 18-year-old was found to have a driver’s license that had been suspended three times for failure to answer a summons, police said.

He was arrested and taken to the police headquarters.

The Garrison resident was processed and then released on $100 bail to a parent.

The man is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Dec. 7.
