Elderly Couple Who Died In Yorktown Fire Identified: UPDATE
The couple was trapped in the home during the blaze.

YORKTOWN, NY — The elderly couple killed in a devastating early morning fire Monday have been officially identified. Jeffrey Ginman, 74, and Helen Ginman, 70, the owners of the house, died in the blaze, family members confirmed, lohud.com said.
A neighbor said the Ginmans were extremely close and had raised their family in the house in which they had lived for decades.

YORKTOWN, NY — Two people are dead after being trapped in a Yorktown house during an early morning fire.

Fire officials said there was heavy fire through the roof from the 3 a.m. blaze Monday, which could be seen almost from the downtown area, lohud.com reported.
Neighbors told news outlets that an elderly couple — Jeff and Helen Ginman — lived at the home on Central Street, but the victims were not officially identified, News 12 said.

Yorktown Heights Fire Chief Jason Swart said it took firefighters about two hours to extinguish the blaze, with one firefighter sustaining minor injuries, FIOS1 News said.
The investigation is ongoing.
