21YO Arrested For Drunk Driving In Yorktown: Police
She was arrested after allegedly crashing into a telephone pole.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 21-year-old woman was arrested in Yorktown for allegedly driving drunk after crashing into a telephone pole Saturday. Yorktown Police said Gabrielle Gjelaj, 21, of Woodfield Court in Yorktown, was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more, both misdemeanors.
Police were dispatched to the scene of an accident where a car ran into a utility pole around 2:19 a.m. June 24.
An investigation found that Gjelaj was allegedly intoxicated.

She was arrested and taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where police said she was found to have a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent

Gjelaj was processed on the charges and release on her own recognizance to a responsible party.
She is due back in Yorktown Justice Court July 6.
