3 Arrested In Yorktown On Robbery, Assault Charges
The defendants were unable to post bail.

YORKTOWN, NY — Three Westchester residents were arrested June 21 on robbery and assault charges in an incident in which the victim was allegedly hit by a car. Yorktown Police said Carlos Sandoval-Alfar, 54, of Yorktown, Elmer Mejia-Lopez, 22, of Ossining, and Jose Mejia-Lopez, 26, of Pleasantville, were taken into custody after officers were dispatched to investigate a domestic incident.
The officers found that the three men allegedly acted together to steal the victim’s cell phone and credit card.
Additionally, the victim was injured after being allegedly intentionally struck by a vehicle that contained the three men.

They face the following charges:

- Carlos Sandoval-Alfar: second-degree robbery, second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felonies.
- Elmer Mejia-Lopez: second-degree robbery, second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felonies.
- Jose Mejia-Lopez: second-degree robbery and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felonies.
The men were processed on the charges and arraigned by a judge, who issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.
Bail was set at $25,000 bail or $50,000 bond.
They were unable to post bail, so the men were turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections.
The three men are scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court June 29.
