Accusation Of Stealing, Cashing Paycheck

Police were initially called for a domestic incident.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was accused of cashing someone else's paycheck. Yorktown police said Navit Azizi, 21, Yorktown was charged with third-degree forgery and two counts of petit larceny, misdemeanors.

Police said that, on May 3, an officer was sent to a Mohegan lake residence for a domestic incident.

The victim said someone had stolen and cashed her paycheck, police said.

An investigation led police to arrest Azizi and he was taken to police headquarters for processing.

He was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.

Azizi is next scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court June 4.
