Annual Turkey Trot Road Race Route Announced

Police also announced which roads will be closed

YORKTOWN, NY — Chief Robert Noble of the Yorktown Police Department advises motorists that on Thursday, Nov. 22, Senator Terrence Murphy's office is sponsoring the Annual Turkey Trot Road Race. The race will start on Front Street in front of the Pennysaver building. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The runners route will be as follows:

  • 1) Front Street (South End) to Underhill Avenue, turn left to westbound Underhill Avenue
  • 2) Underhill Avenue to Route 118 turning left to southbound Route 118
  • 3) Route 118 to Old Country Way, making a U Turn on Route 118 then proceeding northbound
  • 4) Route 118 North to Underhill Avenue
  • 5) Underhill Avenue to Front Street
  • 6) Front Street to Finish Line at the end of Front Street

To provide for the safety of the runners and spectators, the following roadways will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. until the conclusion of the race at approximately 9:30 a.m.

  • 2. Moseman Ave between Summit St and Front St.
  • 3. Underhill Ave between Summit St. and Route 118
  • 4. Route 118 between Underhill Ave and Route 129.
