Bail Jumper Arrested In Yorktown: Police
The man allegedly failed to show up for a drug-related court appearance.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yonkers man was arrested because he didn’t appear in court.
Yorktown Police said Robert M. Loftus, 25, of Yonkers, was charged with third-degree bail jumping, a misdemeanor, and was issued an arrest warrant for failure to appear.
On March 16, around 6:30 p.m., Loftus surrendered to the Yorktown Police Department.

He allegedly did not appear in court Oct. 27 in reference to a previous drug charge.
Loftus was additionally charged with jumping bail for allegedly not appearing in court within 30 days from the date he was instructed to do so.

He was processed at Yorktown Police Headquarters and later arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court.
Loftus was released on his own recognizance and instructed to appear back in court by March 30.
