Blizzard Warning: Could Storm Bring Yorktown to 'Standstill'?

SOMERS, NY — The National Weather Service added northern Westchester to its Blizzard Warning early Monday morning, saying the storm headed toward the region had significantly shifted its track.

"If this scenario turns out to be correct… which is a reasonable possibility… the Hudson Valley will be brought to a complete standstill by noon on Tuesday," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Travel will be nearly impossible, with snow falling at 3 to 5 inches per hour. Make sure you follow the developments on Tuesday very close… you do not want to get caught out on the roads in this."
