Bronx 18-year-old Pulled from Rikers on Yorktown Warrant

His name is being withheld because he is eligible for Youthful Offender Status, police said.

Yorktown police have had a bench warrant out for a Bronx kid since Aug. 20, 2013, when he failed to appear in court in reference to a charge of second-degree harassment.

On Feb. 24, Yorktown police were able to execute that warrant at the Rikers Island Correctional Facility, where the defendant, now 18, was in jail on an unrelated charge.

He was arraigned in Yorktown town court and is due back March 3. Meanwhile he was sent to the Westchester County Jail on $500 bail.
