Bronx Man Accused Of ID Theft, Attempted Grand Larceny
Personnel at a bank received information that the man had tried to use someone else's ID at another branch earlier in the day.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Bronx man faces felony charges after being accused of trying to get money out of bank accounts that were not his. Yorktown police charged Kevin Brown, 44, of the Bronx, with first-degree identity theft, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and third-degree attempted grand larceny, all felonies.
Police said that around 3:45 p.m. July 11 they responded to the Chase Bank on Commerce Street for a reported identity theft in progress.
Bank personnel told police they had been notified by another bank branch that earlier in the day Brown had tried to withdraw money from another person’s account and was then trying to attempt to do the same at the Commerce Street branch.

After an investigation, police said Brown was using the identity of another person, with a forged instrument, a New York State driver’s license and a credit/debit card and tried to withdraw money from a bank account that was not his.
Following his arrest, Brown was arraigned in court and sent to the Westchester County Jail with no bail.

He is next scheduled to appear in court July 24.
