Bronx Man Charged With Felony Pot Possession
A police officer said he spotted suspicious behavior and investigated.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Bronx man was accused of having more than a pound of pot. Yorktown police charged Juan Ovidio Perez, 26, of the Bronx, with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.
Police said that, around 10 p.m. Jan. 28, an officer on routine patrol on Crompond Road said he saw suspicious activity Perez who was sitting inside a vehicle.
An investigation found he had more than 16 ounces of marijuana, police said.

Perez was arrested and taken to police headquarters.
He was arraigned and sent to jail in lieu of $1,500 bail or $3,000 bond.

Perez is schedule to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Feb. 5.
