Buchanan Man Accused Of Defacing Property With Graffiti

Police said there were five separate complaints that were investigated.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Westchester County man was arrested and accused of defacing property. Yorktown police said Daniel L. Vines-Mevec, 24, of Buchanan, was charged with five counts of making graffiti, misdemeanors.

According to the police, between Jan. 1 and July 25, officers responded to five separate graffiti complaints that were located on the sound barrier of Overlook Avenue, the sound barrier at Route 6 and Sunnyside, a fence at Barger Street, a light pole on Old Yorktown Road and an electrical box on Barger Street.

The investigation led to Vines-Mevec being arrested and charged.

After being processed, he was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.

Vines-Mevec is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Sept. 5.
