Cooler Temps, Chance Of Rain: Yorktown's Work Week Weather

Here is what you can expect for the rest of the work week in Somers.

YORKTOWN, NY — The Hudson Valley can breath a sigh of relief weather-wise after the rain-and-wind one-two punch from the nor'easter Sunday into Monday. Cooler temperatures can be expected for the upcoming week, with the next chance of rain late Wednesday night into Thursday.

As far as Halloween is concerned, it will be brisk.

“Those headed out for trick-or-treating should dress warmly, for most temperatures will quickly drop into the 40s and 50s F shortly after nightfall, said AccuWeather Meteorologist Carl Babinski.

The rest of the work week will see mainly mostly cloudy conditions with temperatures rising slightly on Thursday but then dipping back down as the week comes to an end.

  • This Afternoon-Mostly sunny with a 20 percent chance of showers. Highs in the mid 50s. West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
  • Tonight-Mostly clear. Lows around 40. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph in the evening.
  • Tuesday-Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.
  • Tuesday Night-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 30s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.
  • Wednesday-Partly sunny in the morning, then becoming mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 50s. West winds around 5 mph, becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
  • Wednesday Night-Mostly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s.
  • Thursday-Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers. Highs in the lower 60s.
  • Thursday Night-Mostly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s.
