Cops Catch Alleged Shoplifters On Taconic Parkway

YORKTOWN, NY — Two people are accused of shoplifting $381.92 worth of merchandise from Macy's at the Jefferson Valley Mall May 29.

Yorktown police said they received a report at 3:50 p.m. of shoplifters leaving the mall in a car. They found a car fitting the description on the Taconic Parkway, stopped it, and arrested the two inside.

Tavar R. Young, 32, of White Plains, and Cheyenne J. Carrington, 23, of Ossining, each face a misdemeanor petty larceny charge. They were processed at Yorktown police headquarters, released without bail and are due in Yorktown town court July 7.
