Cops ID Texas Suspect in Mercy College Bomb Threat

Mercy College's campuses in Dobbs Ferry, Yorktown and NYC were searched.

Yorktown police report progress tracking a person or persons who left a bomb threat on the phones at Mercy College's campuses.

College officials called police at 4PM March 8. A voicemail had been left on the Yorktown phone system the night before saying that a bomb had been placed in every building with the college's name on it.

The campus was evacuated while the buildings were searched by Yorktown police and a K9 from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Bomb Squad.

No devices were found and the campus was reopened -- with similar outcomes in Dobbs Ferry and Manhattan, Yorktown police said.

An investigation was launched and now a suspect has been identified in Houston, Texas, police said. Yorktown police are coordinating with the FBI Terrorist Task Force and the Houston police.
