Cortlandt Man Arrested In Yorktown For Unlicensed Driving

Police initially stopped the man for not having a working tail lamp.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Cortlandt Manor man was arrested in Yorktown after being stopped for traffic infractions. Yorktown police charged Charles P. Jacques III, 25, of Locust Avenue in Cortlandt Manor, was pulled over around 3 a.m. May 17 while driving without a light tail lamp.

After Jacques was identified, police found that he was unlicensed and his privilege to drive in New York had been suspended for failing to answer a summons in the Town of Halfmoon, Saratoga County.

He was arrested and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and no tail lamp and unlicensed operator, traffic infractions.

Jacques was released on $100 bail.

He is scheduled to return to court June 21.
