Cortlandt Manor Woman Accused Of Driving With Suspended License

Police said she failed to answer a summons from another community.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Cortlandt Manor woman was accused of driving without a license. Yorktown police said Genoeffa M. Palumbo, 42, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and no plate lamp and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, traffic infractions.

Police said, around 9:50 p.m. Feb. 28, an officer on routine patrol stopped Palumbo's car on Route 202 after seeing vehicle and traffic violations.

She was identified by a New York State driver's license, a check of which found she was operating the vehicle while her privilege to do so was suspended for failing to answer a summons out of the Town of Cortlandt.

Palumbo was arrested and taken to Yorktown Police Department.

After processing she was released on her own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court March 28.
