Cortlandt Manor Woman Accused Of Drunken Driving

Police said she left the scene of an accident and was driving without a license.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Cortlandt Manor woman was accused of driving while drunk after being involved in a two-car collision.

Yorktown police said Ana Guerra-Hernandez, 28, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, and aggravated driving while intoxicated blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more, misdemeanors, and following too close, leaving the scene of a property damage auto accident and unlicensed operator, traffic infractions.

Police said a two-car accident on Route 202 was reported around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

One of the cars left the scene, police said.

An investigation found that Guerra-Hernandez was driving her car while intoxicated and left the accident scene, according to authorities.

She was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

A subsequent investigation, police said, discovered Guerra-Hernandez was driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.

She was issued traffic tickets and released on her own recognizance to a responsible adult.

Guerra-Hernandez is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 5.
