Criminal Contempt Charge For CT Man Who Violated Order Of Protection: Police
Police said the man was already under arrest.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Connecticut resident was arrested in Yorktown for violating an order of protection. Yorktown Police said Francis T. Baba, 25, of Torrington, CT, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.
Police said around 5:30 p.m. July 13, at headquarters, a man reported a violation of an order of protection.
A police officer was assigned to investigate the complaint and found that Baba allegedly violated a duly served Yorktown Justice Court order of protection by calling the protected party.

Baba was already under arrest at police headquarters for a related case involving the protected party and was charged with an additional charge of criminal contempt.
After being processed on the new charge, Baba was arraigned by a judge who issued another temporary order of protection in favor of the victim and set bail at $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond

Police said Baba was unable to post bail and was sent to the Westchester County Department of Corrections
He is due back in Yorktown Court July 27.
