CT Man Accused Of Tossing Cocaine Out Of Car: Police

He was arrested when he came back to the area later the same day, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Connecticut man was accused of having illegal drugs after a traffic stop. Yorktown police said Jordan J. Simanca-Castellanos, 27, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and fail to keep right and fail to obey no passing markings, traffic infractions.

Police said, around 1:50 a.m. March 17, an officer on routine patrol on Crompond Road in the area of Garden Lane saw a vehicle driving erratically.

A traffic stop was conducted and Simanca-Castellanos was identified as the driver.

The officer said that it was discovered, before the investigation began, Simanca-Castellanos threw a bag of cocaine out of the vehicle during the traffic stop and before being released.

Around 2:20 p.m., police said he was seen parked in the same area of the early morning traffic stop.

Simanca-Castellanos was once again stopped and subsequently arrested at the scene.

He was taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.

Simanca-Castellanos was arraigned and released on $1,000 bail.

He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court March 19.
