Distracted Driving Detail Nets 21 Tickets Near Schools

There was even an arrest for pot possession.

SOMERS, NY — Did you get pulled over for distracted driving recently. The state police from the Somers barracks conducted a distract driving enforcement detail April 11 in several school zone areas.

They included Somers High School, John F. Kennedy Catholic High School, North Salem High School and John Jay High School.

Patrols issued a total of 21 traffic tickets, including six school zone speeding tickets, two cellphone tickets, five seat belt tickets and one unlawful possession of marijuana arrest.
