Dog Bite Leads To Non-Licensed Dog Accusation
A mother reported to police that her daughter was bitten, authorities said.
YORKTOWN, NY — The report of a dog bite led to a charge of not licensing a dog. Yorktown police said Christy L. Gooden, 32, of Yorktown, was charged with failure to license dog, a violation of the Yorktown town code.
Police said an Amawalk resident came into police headquarters Nov. 4 to report a possible dog bite in the Town of Yorktown.
The person said her daughter was bitten by a dog while she was at a friend's house, police said.

An investigation found that Gooden's dog was unlicensed at the time of the incident.
Gooden voluntarily appeared at police headquarters Wednesday morning where she was served a criminal summons.

She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to answer the charge in Yorktown Justice Court Dec. 10.
