Drive Carefully: Lack of Salt Hampers Yorktown Snowplowing

The Town of Yorktown strives to maintain a “black road policy” as soon as possible after a storm, however an order for salt placed on January 14, 2015 still has not been delivered, therefore the Town has been mixing sand with salt in an effort to spread and treat the entire town. As a result, all main roads and hills will be treated first and then all other roads. Please be aware that this means all town roads will not be to pavement or “black” and residents should continue to drive with caution.
