Driver Found Asleep in Middle Lane of Taconic Parkway

State police charged the Cortlandt man with driving while intoxicated.

Miro A. Pascale of Cortlandt faces a charge of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers patrolling the Taconic State Parkway March 30 near Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park found a Jeep stopped in the middle lane.

Officers approached the vehicle and observed the operator sleeping in the driver’s seat. Investigation revealed that Pascale, 30, was intoxicated.

He provided a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .21 percent, more than two times the legal limit of intoxication.

Pascale was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Yorktown Court on April 23.
