Driving While Drugged Accusation In Yorktown

He was released to a responsible third party after posting bail.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mahopac man was accused of driving drugged in Yorktown. Police said Mitchel J. Golden, 30, of Mahopac, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor.

Police said, around 7:10 a.m., Sept. 21, two officers saw an unconscious man in the driver's seat of a car whose engine was turned on.

He was parked in the parking lot at 3481 Crompond Road.

An investigation found that Golden was driving while his ability to do so was impaired by drugs, police said.

He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.

Golden was released to a responsible third party after posting $200 for bail.

He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Oct. 22.
