Drunk Driver Didn't 'Move Over': Police
Among the charges the Yonkers man faces is "fail to exercise due care to emergency vehicle."

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yonkers man found himself in hot water when he didn’t move over for an emergency vehicle, police said. Jason R. Pastore, 36, of Yonkers, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and fail to exercise due care to emergency vehicle, disregard traffic control device and refuse breath test, traffic violations.
Yorktown Police said, around 1:56 a.m. Sept. 10, an officer was standing in the westbound shoulder of Route 6 at Sunnyside Street conducting an investigation when a black Jeep traveling west on Route 6 failed to exercise due care while traveling past the officer. The officer stopped the vehicle and said the driver was identified as Pastore.

Police said he was driving drunk and refused to submit to a breath test.
Pastor was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he was issued traffic summons.

He was released on $100 bail to a family member and is schedule to appear in Yorktown Court Sept. 21.
