Dutchess County Man Accused Using Metal Pipe To Injure Yorktown Resident

Following an investigation, the accused voluntarily appeared at police headquarters.

YORKTOWN, NY — Police arrested a Dutchess County man who they said attacked another man with a metal pipe. Yorktown Police said Muhamet Kabashi, 47, of Poughquag, Dutchess County, was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies.

According to the police, a call was received at 8:46 p.m. Oct. 15 from a man living on Lexington Avenue who said that on the morning of Oct. 11, while he was outside his home, Kabashi hit him in arm with a metal pipe, causing him pain. Following an investigation, Kabashi voluntarily appeared at police headquarters Oct. 17, at which time he was arrested.

Kabashi was arraigned and released on $2,500 bail.

He is scheduled to next appear in court Nov. 28.
