Dutchess Man Arrested in Yorktown on Drunk Driving Charges

The arrest occurred after a traffic accident.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 22-year-old Wappingers Falls man was arrested by Yorktown Police for drunk driving.

Jamil Robert Bristow-Dolman of Lawton Road faces charges of driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a BAC of 0.18 percent of more, misdemeanors, and following too closely and having an open container of alcohol, traffic infractions.

Police said they received a call about an accident around 8:55 p.m. Nov. 25 in the area of Route 6 and Sunnyside.

When they arrived at the scene, police said they found that Bristow-Dolman was driving one of the vehicles while intoxicated, had been following another vehicle too closely and had an open container of alcohol.

He was arrested and taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters where he was processed.

Bristow-Dolman was later released on $200 bail to a responsible party.

His court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 8.
