Employee Uses Groupon To Steal From Boss: NYSP

A White Plains woman is accused of stealing money at her job in Somers.

SOMERS, NY — A White Plains woman faces felony charges of falsifying business records and grand larceny.

On June 7, New York State police arrested Beck J. Pfeifer, 49, of White Plains. They allege that while employed as a receptionist at Laser Luxury in Somers, Pfeifer falsified business records to reflect customer payments through the use of Groupon.

Pfeifer would then collect and steal cash payments for services the business provided, police said. The thefts totaled over $1,000.

Pfeifer was charged with for Falsify Business Records in the 1st degree, and Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, both class E felonies, and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Somers Court.
