Fire Displaces Shrub Oak Family, Online Donations Requested

Organizers want to raise $10,000 to help the family recover.

SHRUB OAK, NY — A fire broke out in a Shrub Oak home Sunday afternoon displacing a family.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family who lost all their possessions in the blaze.

According to information on the online fundraising site, the Prin/Levine family lost a dog in the fire and their cats were injured.

The money raised will help them get back on their feet and help with the veterinarian bills.

As of Monday afternoon, more than $4,000 has been raised. Organizers set a goal of $10,000.
