Fog A Problem Wednesday, Special Weather Statement Issued

Motorists should exercise extra caution due to reduced visibility.

Parts of the Hudson Valley will be plagued by fog Wednesday afternoon into the evening. The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

Fog will continue to be widespread through the tri-state area late Wednesday afternoon through the evening commute.

Expect the visibility to be generally less than 1 mile and locally a quarter mile or less during this time.

If driving, exercise extra caution as there will be sudden reductions in visibility, the NWS said.
