Four Arrested Locally During Statewide Labor Day Crackdown

State police from Troop K announced they took 31 impaired drivers off Hudson Valley roads over the Labor day holiday weekend.

SOMERS, NY — State police in Troop K arrested 31 drivers during the Labor Day weekend crackdown and charged them with driving while impaired. Two Somers residents and a Yorktown resident were among those charged. In addition, a traffic stop made in Somers resulted in a felony DWI charge.

  • On Aug. 31, State Police from SP Stormville arrested Adam J. Heyd, 37, of Somers, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Putnam Valley, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police allege.
  • On Sept. 2, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Jose N. Rubio, 32, of Mount Kisco, NY, for Aggravated Leandra’s Law DWI. He was traveling on State Route 202 in the town of Somers, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol with a child in the vehicle, police allege.
  • On Sept. 2, State Police from SP Somers arrested Jordan N. Harold, 22, of Somers, NY, for DWI. She was traveling on Bridge Lane in the town of Somers, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, police allege.
  • On Sept. 2, State Police from SP Cortlandt arrested Charles R. Barton, 76, of Yorktown, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 6 in the town of Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police allege.
