Free tax assistance through AARP Foundation Tax-Aide

The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program has helped local residents for decades, particularly seniors and people with low to moderate income

Tax-Aide volunteers are trained and IRS-certified each year to make sure they know and understand the latest changes in the tax code. They also complete courses on standards of conduct and how to keep sensitive documents secure.

Appointments can be scheduled for the John C. Hart Memorial Library in Shrub Oak, on Mondays, February 2nd – April 13th. Appointments are also available at the Peekskill Neighborhood Center (in the same building as the Field Library) on Fridays, February 6th – April 10th. This is a free service nationwide.

To schedule an appointment (no walk-ins, please) or for more information, please leave your name and number at 914-440-3086 beginning in mid-January. Someone will return your call.
