Today is the first day of spring!
Spring! Spring is the transition between two other seasons, winter and summer. The weather patterns are unstable and days can be turbulent, with high winds and tornados. There is growth and renewal as trees begin to show their leaves and flowers come out.

Teens! Teenage is the transition years between the child and adult. These years can be unstable and for some maybe turbulent. There is physical and other growth with their transition to becoming adults. Teens begin to show their talents in their areas of interest.
If you Google teens in the news, there are many more articles about those turbulent and unstable issues of drugs, alcohol and gangs. Unfortunately for teens as a group they get a bad reputation.

March 21 is National Teenager Day! Yorktown and neighboring communities have many teens that bring us much news to be proud of. Let us celebrate the day with all the positive things teens do in our community!
