Hazardous Outlook Issued: Yorktown's Work Week Weather
Here are the details about what's coming and when around Somers.

SOMERS, NY -- Looks as if the unsettled weather will continue. There's even been a Hazardous Weather outlook issued.
Monday's not bad, but then it all goes downhill.
"There are a few light sprinkles appearing in the southern Catskills," said the guys at Hudson Valley Weather, "but the vast majority of the valley will remain dry to start the week."

Still, the National Weather Service already warns:
There is the possibility of severe thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening, with the main threat damaging wind gusts and large hail. In addition, locally heavy rainfall is possible with any stronger convection. While the main threat is for minor flooding of urban and poor drainage areas, there is a small chance for localized flash flooding.
And it's not just going to be Tuesday. It's going to be like that for a while.

"After a relatively warm and dry start to the month of May, the pattern has become much more humid and wetheading into the middle of the month across the Northeast," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said.
Here's what the NWS predicts for northern Westchester:
- Today-Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.
- Tonight-A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 4am. Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
- Tuesday-A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Light south wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
- Tuesday Night-Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11pm, then a chance of showers. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Cloudy, with a low around 58. North wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
- Wednesday-A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 67. Northeast wind around 7 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
- Wednesday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56.
- Thursday-Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74.
- Thursday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57.
- Friday-A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 65.
- Friday Night-A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 56.
