Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Yorktown
Details on when we might see storms around Somers and Yorktown are included in the National Weather Service's updated forecast.
Friday’s still a couple of days away but that hasn’t stopped the National Weather Service from issuing a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for a lot of the lower Hudson Valley already.
In the “Hazardous Weather Outlook” statement, the National Weather Service says Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester can expect “showers and thunderstorms ahead of a cold front and wave of low pressure may produce heavy rain capable of flooding and strong wind gusts.”
There is also a chance of storms each day this weekend too. But before we get to the weekend we’re still dealing with a heatwave on Wednesday and Thursday as temperatures will be around 90 degrees both days with sunny skies.

Sunny in the morning...then partly sunny with isolated showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs around 90. Northwest winds around 5 mph...becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Humid with lows in the lower 70s. Southeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
Friday
Showers likely. A chance of thunderstorms in the morning. Humid with highs in the lower 80s. Northeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.
